Sensei Robert House started studying Aikido in 1985. He spent seven years (from 1990 to 1997) studying at the Aikikai World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. In Japan he became a student of Endo Seishiro Shihan and has followed him to many countries since 1990.

The Aikido Center of Jacksonville is the oldest Aikikai affiliated school in northeast Florida, and the only Aikikai affiliated school in Jacksonville. Established in 1992, we were a pioneer of Aikido in northeast Florida. At our school, we offer classes for the whole family. With sixteen classes each week, our curriculum is designed to fit your schedule, not ours. And since we are a traditional dojo, we don't require contracts, or ask that you commit to an initial term of membership.

Our Adult Program is for men and women, ages 15 years and up. This is a noncompetitive style of self-defense. Utilizing calisthenics and aerobic type exercises to help put you into fitness.
