The mission of Capoeira Brasil San Diego is to share the art of Capoeira, and by extension, Brazil’s rich cultural tradition, with the community of San Diego at large.

Miami Capoeira use interactive, participatory arts to expand understanding of and interest in the art of Capoeira through public education and public performance.

Grupo Axé Capoeira is a Seattle branch of the world recognized Grupo Axé Capoeira under the supervision of Mestre Barrão. Our school offers classes in Capoeira: a Brazilian art form which emphasizes strength, balance, coordination, and self-defense. Our training also includes acrobatics, music, traditional dance and Portuguese language. We welcome everyone.

The International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to the practice, preservation and growth of Capoeira Angola. Mestre Jurandir, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil leads the Oakland ICAF group.

Mestranda Edna Lima's classes are based on traditional sequences and modern progressions, work with partners (we'll provide one for you!), traditional Capoeira music featuring berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro ... and enthusiasm. Class exercises are developed on interval training patterns: cardiovascular sequences mixed with bodyweight resistance exercises, and periods of active recovery. The result is an exciting combination of aerobic endurance, functional strength, and complex agility.

Our Greater Vancouver group has many capoeristas dedicated to practicing this beautiful combination of martial art, dancing and singing. Our teacher, who is better known to us as Rasta, has great expertise in Capoeira and a positive attitude towards life which makes classes as enjoyable as they can be. Our group ABADA Capoeira is lead by its great founder Mestre Camisa.

Axé Capoeira headquarters in downtown Vancouver, is a renowned lead in Capoeira instruction. Our group is Canada's premier capoeira organization and one of the largest in the world. We have active capoeira academies in 18 countries. Mestre Barrão founded and supervises the groups worldwide instructors and events.

In Capuraginga San Antonio classes students develop physically, emotionally, and mentally as they train Capoeira's challenging movements, learn to play traditional instruments, sing music in Portuguese, and apply their training in an exciting improvised "game" that helps students develop their personal strength, response time, creativity, courage, and self-expression.

In Capoeira Sul da Bahia San Francisco, the group is lead by Instructor Salê, who grew up in Arraial as part of the Sul da Bahia family, training from a young age with Mestre Railson. Instructor Salê goal has been to create a strong community through Capoeria and to keep its spirit alive outside of Brazil. He continues to spread the dynamic energy of Capoeira through his dedication to teach and to use Capoeira as a tool to create a strong community among his students.

The Quilombo Cultural Center was established in August 2002 by the International Capoeira Angola Foundation Chicago. Once a plastics factory, the Quilombo Cultural Center was founded to provide a home for Capoeira Angola in Chicago and to create a cultural performance and rehearsal space where other individuals and groups can rehearse, perform, and celebrate their art.

Omulu Capoeira Guanabara mission is to promote the art of capoeira around the world through development of high-quality training academies, professional performance groups, and community culture and education programs. As a non-profit organization, Omulu Capoeira Guanabara is specifically dedicated to promoting capoeira education as a tool to empower youth.

Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho is a place where one can truly find the oasis that exists in Capoeira. We make each individual feel at home entering our door or Roda.
